Directions to Woodstone in Glen Arbor from the Detroit area

  1. Take I-75 north to U.S. Highway 10 west toward Midland (Exit 162B). Exit 162 B
is 87 miles north of the Square Lake entrance to I-75.
  2. Take U.S. Highway 10 west for 58 miles to Michigan Highway 115, following
    signs that read “U.S. 10 to M-115.”
  3. Turn right (northwest) onto Michigan Highway 115 (M-115) and take it towards
Cadillac for about 69 miles to Thompsonville Road. You will pass Cadillac,
Mesick, and Copemish. Thompsonville Road is approximately two miles beyond
    Copemish
  4. Turn right (north) onto Thompsonville Road (also called County Highway 669)
approximately 12 miles until it meets U.S. 31.
  5. Turn right onto U.S. 31 and travel on it for only one-tenth of a mile. Rejoin
County Highway 669 north, which is the first possible left turn off U.S. 31, just
    beyond the fish hatchery entrance.
  6. Continue north on County Highway 669 for a total of approximately ten miles,
watching for a left turn after five miles. (Five miles beyond U.S. 31, County
Highway 669 turn left. Follow it left where you see a white house with a belfry,
formerly a school house, on the right and another house across the road on the
left.) Watch carefully for this left turn. After the left turn, stay on County 669 for
another five miles until it intersects M-72.
  7. Turn left (west) onto M-72 and drive on it for approximately one mile. At the
flashing yellow light, continue on M-72 to your left, heading west.
  8. From the flashing yellow light, drive 5 miles west on M-72 to Benzonia Tr.
(County Highway 677) toward Glen Arbor.
  9. Turn right on County Highway 677 (Benzonia Tr.) and drive north 3.3 miles to a
stop sign at M-22 (also called Glenmere Road at this stop sign).
  10. At the stop sign turn right onto M-22 and follow it as it curves immediately left,
passing between two lakes ("the narrows" between Big Glen Lake and Little Glen
Lake.) From the stop sign before the curve into "the narrows," drive 2.5 miles
(north) on M-22. Turn right onto Lakewood Drive (immediately after the sign:
“Glen Arbor Township , Established 1856,” on the right side of the road). Watch
for this turn. It is easy to miss.
  11. Travel one-tenth of a mile on Lakewood Drive to Arbor Drive.
  12. Turn left on Arbor Drive and travel one-tenth of a mile to Lake Street.
  13. Turn right onto Lake Street and then immediately left at the Woodstone entrance
(Woodstone Road), the first possible left turn off of Lake Street.
